Help Science Farms
So far, Science Farms has been completely financed by the founders. However, our resources are limited.
There are a number of ways in which you can help Science Farms to grow and become Houston’s central spot for the citizen science movement. Not only that, but you will be helping us to work on and fund specific projects we do not have the resources currently to maintain.
Here’s how you can help:
Sponsor a Lab Pod:
We are looking to construct at least five eco-friendly lab work spaces within our wooded area. Our lab pods will be no larger than your average garden shed, but will be equipped with lab equipment, a work space, storage facilities and will run off green energy.
We are looking for people and business owners to help us with the construction of our lab pods. By helping to finance the building of a lab pod, or by donating essential materials we need to construct each lab, we are offering a year long sponsoring spot. If you donate all of the materials, or cover the funding for an entire pod, we will name the lab pod after you or your company. You will forever be the sponsor of one of our lab pods and will be helping us to help citizen scientists produce fine, earth changing work.
Donate Materials or Equipment:
We are always in need of equipment at Science Farms in order to help our citizen scientists perform their research. Whether you can donate a packet of corn seeds to help us with our eco-friendly vegetable garden, or are able to donate a brand new Faraday Cage, you will be helping us to maintain and develop Science Farms.

Donate Time / Become a Volunteer
We need help with all manner of things here at Science Farms. Currently, there are only two of us running Science Farms full time, with three other part time volunteers on board. If you can spare some time to help with the running of Science Farms, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for volunteers to help us with our eco-construction projects, maintaining the land, clearing away dead trees and minor administration work.
Additionally, we would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer some time to give lectures or speeches about your specific field of science here at Science Farms. We hope to start providing some fun, interesting and educational events at Science Farms One very soon. Whether you are a physicist at NASA, or are a citizen scientist working on your own project in the Houston area, we’d love to have you give a talk.
We’re always looking for fun and novel ways in which we can promote the work our citizen scientists are doing here at Science Farms, as well as to promote awareness about our existence. If you have an idea for a great event which can help promote Science Farms, please do let us know. Some current promotional event ideas flying around here include a fashion show, band night and science talks which are open to the public.
